We choose treatments that are backed by clinical studies and will improve your pet’s quality of life. Laser therapy can be an integral part of your pet’s treatment plan and quite beneficial to their health and happiness.
Pet laser therapy is a safe, noninvasive, and pain-free method of treatment for your pet. The photons of the laser initiate a photo-chemical response that blocks nerve impulses, accelerates tissue repair, increases circulation, and reduces swelling. This response leads to a reduction in pain and discomfort, speeds healing, and increases mobility and motion in joints.
Pet laser therapy can be utilized to treat a multitude of conditions. Some such conditions are arthritis, wounds, hip dysplasia, ear infections, skin infections, fractures, sprains and strains, bruising and swelling, post dental, and post-surgery. The frequency of treatment is dependent on your pet’s ailment. Most acute conditions are treated in 1-3 sessions. More chronic conditions such as arthritis are treated by an introductory phase that consists of 6-10 sessions in a compressed timeframe. It is then followed by a maintenance phase at a far less often frequency that reinforces the positive results of the introductory phase.
The use of pet laser therapy as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other modalities has been remarkably effective. We have seen profound results in many of our patients. Whether they be chronic or acute cases, it is amazing to see how healthy and happy our patients are after their treatment!
